QATAR IS LEANING ON THE RATIONALITY OF THE ARAB QUARTET AND THE CONTAINMENT OF IRANIAN HOSTILITY

The Qatari regime relies on two main factors in implementing its destructive policies, from which it derives its courage to assault the states of the region and to carry out its terrorist activities with all comfort; the first is the rationality and wisdom of the Arab countries and its certainty that they will not undertake any military action against its sister, Qatar; second, appeasing Iran and working on containing its hostility to the Arab countries by conspiring with it and bending the knee to its expansionist agendas, believing that Qatar would be immune from the hostile activities and expansionist and interventionist policies of Iran in the region.

Counting on these two factors, Qatar pursues its destructive policies to achieve a set of delusional objectives, mainly the pursuit of the title of influential regional power, taking advantage of the exclusion of any military attack or retaliation by the Arab quartet, which still sees Qatar as a sister country and invites it to return to its senses and still treats it as an Arab and Gulf state not a foreign enemy. At the same time, however, Qatar is working to appease Iran with the aim of keeping its dangers and terror away from Doha. Hence, it joined Iran in its conspiracies and helped it in exporting the Khomeini’s revolution at the expense of the Arab countries and peoples. And this was the biggest strategic mistake in which the Qatari leadership fell in, after the results were contrary to its calculations. Qatar is one of the most Arab countries that Iran has tampered in, seized control of its sovereign decision, looted its funds, depleted its resources and forced it to give up its quotas in their joint gas field. For that, Iran has exercised the policy of master and servant with the Qatari system and infiltrated the Qatari institutions to the extent that they constitute a serious threat to Qatar’s national security.

On the other hand, Qatar was surprised by the decision of the Arab Quartet, which is politically supported by the international community and the rest of the Arab countries, to boycott its regime after seeing that the continuity of relations with Doha constitutes a threat to the entire Arab national security and to the security and stability of the region and its peoples and that combating regional and international terrorism necessarily requires severing ties with Qatar as the best way to block the funding and support of the terrorist groups on the one hand and thwart the sabotage and Iranian espionage schemes on the other, and this is the second strategic mistake of the Qatari regime in its assessment of the policies and their results thereof.

Now, all the Qatari regime’s figures are fully aware that they have made huge mistakes and that they are going in the opposite direction of national interests. However, the insanity of the Qatari decision-makers, their stubbornness and refusal to admit the mistake, as well as the fear of the Iranian reaction, prevent Qatar from turning away from its hostile policies and this stands in the way of its return to its senses, although there are some reports that there are some indications that Doha seeks to get out of this impasse, but in a way that saves its face on the one hand, and avoid the Iranian reaction on the other, especially as the Qatari political, military and security institutions have all been completely infiltrated by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.

This requires Qatar to begin cutting off its relations with the Iranian parties gradually and seeking help from Arab countries, especially Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to achieve this, but also after Qatar severs all ties with the terrorist groups, especially the Muslim Brotherhood, halts all its hostile activities towards the Arab countries, provides adequate guarantees of its good intentions and agrees to all the demands of the Arab Quartet. In return, the Arab countries will help Qatar to end Iranian hegemony and the presence and influence of the Revolutionary Guards in Qatar.
